Health insurance under 65.
If you are not on Medicare and do not have coverage through work, the Health Insurance Marketplace is where most people find a plan. A Topflight agent compares plans and checks your savings.
When you can enroll
- Open Enrollment
- November 1 to January 15 in most states. Enroll by December 15 for coverage starting January 1.
- Special Enrollment
- Opens for 60 days after you lose coverage, move, marry, have a child or have certain income changes.
- Leaving a group plan
- Losing employer coverage qualifies you for a Special Enrollment Period.
How the savings work
- Premium tax credits
- Lower your monthly premium based on household income and size.
- Cost-sharing reductions
- Lower deductibles and copays on Silver plans for qualifying incomes.
- No surprises
- Your agent runs the numbers before you apply, so tax time holds no surprises.
What a Topflight agent does for you
- Confirms your doctors and prescriptions are in the plan you pick.
- Compares Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum on total cost, not just premium.
- Submits the application and reports changes during the year.
- Costs you nothing. Agents are paid by the insurance carrier, not by you.
